Zoa Ann Risdale, beloved wife of the late Bert Risdale, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 28, 2026, at the age of 82 years. Zoa is survived by her two children, Troy (Kelly) Risdale and Rhonda Risdale; two grandchildren, Shaina Risdale (Logan Piper) and Maisy Risdale (Kellen Kowalchuk); and two sisters, Joan Morgan and Rita (Cal) Neff. Zoa was born in Battleford, SK, on May 22, 1944. She attended school in Battleford and secretarial school in Vermilion. Zoa and Bert were married in Vermilion, AB, on September 2, 1967. Together, they lived in Lloydminster, Rocky Mountain House, Camrose, and Brooks, spending the last seven years in Medicine Hat. Zoa worked in banking, office administration, insurance, and accounting. She enjoyed her home and gardening in Brooks, as well as spending time with family and friends at their cabin at Laurier Lake. Besides her loving husband, Bert, Zoa was predeceased by her parents, Jim and Mary Cawthorpe, and her eleven brothers and sisters, Bill, Charlie, Bob, Dorothy, Jack, Maxine, Douggie, Betty, Joe, Ian, and Donnie. There will be a small gathering for family and close friends. Interment at Brooks Cemetery. Pattison Funeral Home and Celebration of Life Centre in charge of services.
