Wendy Elaine Kerfoot of Brooks, beloved wife of Garth Kerfoot, passed away in Medicine Hat, Alberta on Tuesday, November 7th, 2023, at the age of 69 years. Wendy was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba on September 29th, 1954to Norman and Lorraine Boor. She spent most of her life in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, where she attended school, graduating from Walter Murray Collegiate. As a child Wendy spent her summers with her grandparents in Sioux Lookout, Ontario. Her grandfather was a train conductor and would be waiting for her on the last day of school and they would travel by train to Ontario. As a teen and young adult Wendy loved riding horses. She married Garth Kerfoot on June 29th, 1974, in Saskatoon and spent 49 years living life together. She worked for the Saskatoon Health Region (Parkridge Centre) for most of her working years. Wendy loved the mountains and spent many summer vacations in Banff and enjoyed their trips to Mexico, where she enjoyed lounging by the pool. She loved the outdoors and enjoyed tending to the flowers in her garden. Wend will be fondly remembered for her kind heart, compassion for others and love of her family, shown in the special birthday cakes she would make for them. She was predeceased by her parents Norman and Lorraine Boor and grandparents Edmund and Adele Walsh. Wendy is survived by her loving husband of 49 years, Garth Kerfoot; children, Michael Kerfoot and Kimberly (Dave) Wurz; grandsons, Jordan Kerfoot and Liam Wurz; sisters, Cheryl Wood and Shannon (Doug) Burton; sister-in-law Beverley (Hank) Kats and numerous other family and friends.  In memory of Wendy, if friends desire, memorial tributes may be made directly to Alberta Children's Hospital, 28 Oki Drive, Calgary, Alberta   T3B 6A8.
