Vaughn Alan Woodworth of Medicine Hat, Alberta passed away in Medicine Hat on Friday, November 17th, 2023 at the age of 64 years. Vaughn was born on August 16th, 1959 in Lantz, Hantz County, Nova Scotia Vaughn completed his high school education at Hants East Rural High School in Nova Scotia.  After completing high school, he moved to Prince George, BC to join his brother, Dan and found employment with Canfor where he worked for the next 35 years as a mill operator, first aid attendant and shift manager.  After relocating to Medicine Hat, Vaughn was employed by Pat's Offroad Transport Ltd as a fluid heating truck operator until his retirement. Vaughn loved fast cars and babied his several Corvettes over the years.  He was an outdoor enthusiast who enjoyed hunting, fishing and snowmobiling.  Golfing with friends in the summer, as well as playing baseball and hockey over the years. Vaughn was a die-hard Toronto Maple Leafs fan.  He loved watching hockey on Saturday nights and discussing the Toronto games and players with brother Dan and teasing David about victories over the Montreal Canadiens. He also enjoyed watching PGA golf, NASCAR racing and Toronto Blue Jays baseball. Friends and family were very important to Vaughn and he remained in touch with many of those in Nova Scotia. Vaughn will be remembered for his laughter, sense of humour, and cheering on the Leafs -shouting "GO LEAFS GO". Vaughn was predeceased by his father, Aubrey Woodworth, his mother, Pearl McNeil and his stepfather, Robert (Bob) McNeil. He is survived by his siblings, Dan (Donna) of Devlin, Ontario, David of St. John, New Brunswick and Szandra (George) Muschiol of Tilley, Alberta; Jonathan (Faye) Muschiol and children, Ava and Zoey of Strathmore, Alberta;  nieces, Danielle (Gavin) DeGagne and children, Christopher and Rebecca of Lorette, Manitoba and  Marie (Cam) Weitz and children, Lincoln and Austyn of Lethbridge, Alberta; aunt, Doreen Beaver; step-brother, Robert (Jackie); step-sisters, Rhonda (Willem), Beverly (John), Joan (David), Elizabeth (Bruce), all of Nova Scotia and Marianne (Arnold) of British Columbia. According to Vaughn's wishes no services will be held. He will be sadly missed by all his family, his friends, and co-workers. In memory of Vaughn, if friends desire, memorial tributes may be made directly to The Canadian Lung Association, 885 Meadowlands Drive, Suite 502, Ottawa, Ontario   K2C 3N2.
