It is difficult to find the right words, when we lose someone who has been such an important part of our lives, Toru “Tug” Maruno. Dad passed away on Friday, September 18th, 2026 at the age of 101 years. Dad was born on October 8th, 1924 in South Westminster, BC, to Tatsushi and Nobuye Maruno. A father, grandfather, great grandfather, great great grandfather and uncle, is someone whose presence becomes part of the foundation of our lives, and when that presence is gone, we feel that loss deeply. Dad leaves behind a family that is a testimony to the life he lived and the love he shared. He is survived by his son, Michael Maruno and Juanita, his daughter Ginny Dell, and his daughter Cathy Duckworth and Graham. He also leaves behind numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. A Family service will be held.
