It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Timothy Ian Albers on Friday, August 29th, 2025, in Brooks at the age of 66 years, after a long battle with pneumonia and Inclusion Body Myositis. Born on November 22nd, 1958, in Regina and later residing in Red Deer followed by Brooks. Tim was a devoted son to the late Nadea Albers (Hryniuk) and late Donald Albers, as well as a true friend to many. Tim is survived by his loving wife Michelle Albers; his two sons, Tory Albers and Austin Albers and his stepchildren, Liam Hennessy (Alaina Noseworthy) and Ireland Hennessy (Jake Fach), and a grandson River Fach. He is also survived by his siblings, Sandra (Dale) Zak, Glenda Albers, John (Bernice) Albers, Cathy Baird, and Jenny Brooks, as well as his nephew Steven Zak. Tim was predeceased by his son, Marcus Geisler and a nephew Joel Zak. Tim was a man whose vibrant personality and unwavering work ethic left a lasting mark on all who knew him. Tim's zest for life was evident from a young age. A passionate hockey player, he spent hours in his parent's basement practicing his fiery slap shot. He loved a good game of crib and especially loved skunking his opponents (and making sure they never forgot he was the crib king). His love for Ford cars was legendary, starting with his first Galaxy 500, and his rivalry with Chevrolet became part of his spirited personality. Tim's lifelong passion for cars, racing, and his beloved Mustangs brought him joy and camaraderie, often sharing stories of his adventures with friends from all over. He was also instrumental in the funding and development of Central Alberta Raceway and loved trips to Las Vegas, where time at the racetrack was always a highlight. A devoted family man, Tim loved his mother with all his heart and was forever a "Momma's Boy". He married Michelle in Brooks, and together they built a life filled with love, laughter, and dedication. Tim also had a deep love of cats and dogs, always finding companionship and joy in their presence. Tim's career in oil and gas was distinguished. Solid Wireline was one of the first companies he worked for, which prepared him for his career with Lonkar. His relentless drive and skill led to a partnership with Frank Tirpak, where together they grew Lonkar into a company overseeing 150 wireline trucks on the road. His belief in treating others with respect and kindness, combined with his leadership and hard work, inspired many in the industry. He was a founding father of the Brooks Bandits and had a gift for helping others, especially single moms and inspiring the next generation. Whether at the river house, hunting, fishing, or spending quality time in his shop listening to music, racing cars, or simply passing time with his best friends, Tim embraced life fully and enthusiastically. Tim's story is one of dedication, passion, and living life on his own terms. His legacy of perseverance, optimism, wit, and kindness will remain in the hearts of everyone he touched. He will be dearly missed but never forgotten. Rest in peace, Timo. Your spirit lives on in all of us. Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 19th at 2:00 PM from the Heritage Inn and Convention Centre. Interment to follow at Brooks Cemetery.
