Theresa Hildegard Weinmeyer of Brooks, beloved wife of the late Gary Weinmeyer, passed away in Brooks on Wednesday, March 4th, 2026, at the age of 79 years. Theresa was born in Kerrobert, Saskatchewan on June 12th, 1946, to David and Barbara Flahr. She resided in Luseland, Saskatchewan until the age of 16. She attended Saint Angalas Academy in Prelate, Saskatchewan for 1 year before moving to Brooks in 1963. Theresa married Garry Weinmeyer in Brooks in 1965. She moved to Duchess in 1978, where she resided until 2013, when she moved to Chestermere. Theresa moved back to Brooks in 2014, where she resided until her passing. She worked as a nurse at the Brooks Health Centre for 35 years. Theresa cherished time spent with her children and grandchildren, day trips with Elizabeth Harmes kayaking, holidays in Vancouver and camping with her family. She will be fondly remembered for keeping her house immaculately clean, her homemade hamburgers, soggy cucumber sandwiches she sent to school with her kids and providing meals for her neighbours and anyone in need at the Pioneer Villas. Theresa was predeceased by her husband Garry Weinmeyer; parents Dave and Barbara Flahr, 3 sisters and 1 brother. She is survived by her children, Sharon (Rod) Wojciscki, Monica Weinmeyer, Shane Weinmeyer, Kim Weinmeyer and Sandi (Calvin) Prior; grandchildren, Cole and Gabby Weinmeyer, Wyatt Davis (Chloe Loveless), Owen (Abby) Prior and Emily Davis (Carter Flath) and great grandchildren Sophia, Myles and Archer. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, March 13th at 11:00 AM from St. Mary's Catholic Church. Rev. Kelvin Chukwurah Celebrant. Interment to follow in Duchess Cemetery.
