Sophia Rose Walters of Brooks, passed away in Calgary on Thursday, November 10 ^th , 2022 at the age of 19 years.  Sophie was born in Chilliwack, British Columbia on September 6 ^th , 2003 to Michael and Nancy Walters and moved to Brooks in 2005.  Sophie attended school in Brooks, graduating from Brooks Composite High School in 2020.  She will be fondly remembered as a great friend, a supportive aunty, a loving sister and the best daughter a family could have.  Sophie enjoyed spending time with her family, making her nieces and nephews smile and laugh, playing and cuddling with her cat Shane, dancing to her rock and pop music and the occasional feud with her baby brother, whom she loved dearly.  Although Sophie suffered from physical limitations, she would push through in order to help anyone, or to see what others were seeing.  She loved painting, cards, rocks, her stuffies and Disney.  One of Sophie's dreams was to go to Disneyland with her family, which she was able to do in 2019.  She was assertive, brave, funny, and would never hurt a fly.  Sophie was predeceased by her mother, Nancy Walters; siblings, Luke and Liam Walters and grandparents Harry and Adeline Walters and Verna Bourne.  She is survived by her father, Michael Walters; siblings, Ned Walters, Sara Walters, Kevin Walters, and Ethan Walters and nieces and nephews, Zander Walters, Josie Walters, Liam Walters and Csilla Walters.  Sophie had told her father, in times when your frightened or scared, "Just look at the butterflies daddy and everything will be better."  We all love and miss you very much Sophie, you are with the rest of the beautiful Angels now, watching the butterflies.
