Ronald Joseph Just of the County of Newell, beloved husband of Gaye-Ann Just, passed away peacefully in Medicine Hat, Alberta, with his family by his side, on Saturday, October 8 ^th , 2022 at the age of 82 years. Ronald was born on April 18 ^th , 1940 in Bruno, Saskatchewan to John and Anne Just. He was the second oldest of nine children and at a young age he decided to leave school and go to work and help provide for his parents and siblings. Ronald met the love of his life, Gaye-Ann Plourd in 1964 and they were married on January 23 ^rd ,1965 in Carmangay, Alberta. They welcomed three children, Denise, Danny and Daryle between the years of 1965 to 1970. Ronald received his Heavy-Duty Mechanic Certificate in 1968 and was known as a hard worker, who was dedicated and devoted to his work and providing for his family. He "retired" two times and twice went back to work, until his final retirement at the age of 75 years. If you were to ask a hundred people who Ronald was, you would receive a hundred different responses, a mechanic, an athlete, a Drambuie lover, a polka dancer and an accordion and harmonica player. But to Ronald and his loved ones his biggest role was a family man, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He had a smile that could light up a room and a sense of humour that could make the toughest of people laugh. Ronald was always willing to help others and was a natural peacekeeper. He was predeceased by his parents, John and Anne Just and siblings, Marcele, Joyclyn and Darwin and daughter-in-law Emily. Ronald is survived by his loving wife Gaye-Ann; children, Denise Moore and her husband Mark, Danny Just and Daryle Just-Fleck; grandchildren, Cassandra Just, Cory Just (McKenna), Joshua Just, Julia Delorme (Trevor) and Victor Just and many step-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and  anyone who he took under his wings and welcomed into his home. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, October 23 ^rd at 2:00 PM from The Well Church. Pastor Ken Klassen officiating. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, April 15 ^th , 2023 at the home of Danny Just, 143043 – Township Road 191 and Range Road 143 – A. In memory of Ronald, if friends desire, memorial tributes may be made directly to a charity of choice.
