Robin Leah Closs of Brooks, beloved wife of Shawn Closs, passed away in Calgary on Monday, September 18th, 2017 at the age of 53 years. Robin was born in Weyburn, Saskatchewan on April 8th, 1964 to Leonard and Carol Klus. She lived in Weyburn until 1970 when she moved to Brooks, where she received her education. Robin resided in Brooks from 1970 until 1996, Stettler from 1996 to 2008, Harrowsmith, Ontario from 2008 to 2010, Verdin, Manitoba from 2010 to 2014 and then moved back to Brooks in 2014. Robin married Shawn Closs on July 21st, 1990 in Harrowsmith. She worked at several places everywhere she lived, most recently as the manager at Pita Pit in Brooks. Robin and Shawn also owned their own greenhouse, Blooms and Blossoms. She had a special love for gardening and flowers. Robin and Shawn enjoyed travelling across Canada, especially on their Harley. She will be remembered for her infectious smile, kind heart and love for her family, friends and her babies, Tasha and Lilly. Robin was loyal, hard working, had a wonderful sense of humor and told the straight, honest truth. She was predeceased by her father Leonard Klus, brother Kevin Wheeler, in-laws Harold and Bee Closs and numerous other family members. Robin is survived by her loving husband Shawn Closs; mother Carol Wheeler and her husband Arthur; siblings, Terry Klus and his children Camille and Jamie and grandson Zachery, Jackie Wheeler and her son Calib, Candace Suhai and her husband Wes and their children Katilin, Hannah and Callie and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 30th at 2:00 PM from Smith Memorial Chapel. Rev. Ken Wells officiating. Interment to follow at Brooks Cemetery.
