It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our son, brother and uncle. Richard Gordon Anderson of Brooks, Alberta, passed away in Calgary on Wednesday, October 15th, 2025 at the age of 43 years. Rick was born on April 26th, 1982 in Brooks. He completed his schooling in Brooks, graduating in 2001. Rick then completed EMT schooling in Lac la Biche, Ab in 2003 and was very proud of becoming an EMT. After graduation he worked in Emergency Medical Services throughout Alberta. Rick will be remembered for his humour and his compassion for others. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Rick was predeceased by his father, Ricky Ray Anderson and his grandparents, Fred and Coby Prins and Gordon and Edna Anderson. He is survived by his mother, Ria (Dave) Powney; sisters, Jodie Anderson and Nichole (Nathan) Davis; nephews, Rylan Rooke, Nixon and Nash Davis; niece Karys Power and many members of the Prins and Anderson families. A private family service will be held at Smith Memorial Chapel.
