Paul Brandon Dean
Morgan
Jun 15, 2002 — Sep 16, 2026
Innisfail, Alberta
We are devastated to announce the sudden passing of Paul Brandon Dean Morgan, in Innisfail, Alberta, on September 16, 2026.
Paul was born on June 15, 2002, in Fort McMurray. He grew up in Brooks, graduated high school and college and went on to build a working life he genuinely cared about.
Paul took pride in his work. He loved his job, coworkers and especially interacting with people. He made sure to finish each task assigned to him diligently, even if it took a little longer to finish at the end of the day.
Paul cared for everyone and always had a dad joke or pun at the ready - for any situation. He was so quick witted and uniquely brilliant, we would sometimes miss his hilarious antics and realize later, what he had said or done. He would be waiting, quietly snickering about it until the moment of discovery.
Paul had such a gentle warm, compassionate nature. Low key, and modest he was always happy to serve his fellow man. Always quick to offer a helping hand, a listening ear, or even a back or foot rub to anyone.
Anyone who knew of Paul’s relaxed style, knew how much he loved his crocs. He would wear them to school, work, in the middle of winter, even to his highschool graduation. Even in this very moment, wherever he is, we know he’s wearing them. We know.
He also was an exceptional cook and baker, and could make a mean chicken alfredo. Out of his many culinary skills his favourite concoctions to make, bar none, were his many different types of cheesecake creations.
Paul was the oldest of 8 kids. A loving big brother to Riley, Sterling, Scott, Sable, Vada, Rory, and Darren who are left to grieve the loss of their incredible older brother. He was always the biggest advocate to each of them. Always encouraging them to keep moving forward and boasting up their efforts.
He would however happily beat them all day long in chess, card games, or any other game on any console or device. We believe he is now gaming with his pre-deceased cousin Jacob Irmen, in heaven.
We welcome all who knew him to join us in saying goodbye to our sweet boy. Paul’s funeral services will be held on Friday, September 25th at 1:30 PM from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Rosemary Ward. Bishop Michael Harding officiating. Interment in Bassano Cemetery.
In memory of Paul, if friends desire, memorial tributes may be made directly to Brooks Mental Health, 440 – 3rd Street West, Brooks, Alberta T1R 0X8.
Paul is survived by his mother, Lindsay Vikedal, and stepfather Joe Vikedal. He is also lovingly remembered by his father, Dean Morgan, and Julie Conway. As well as all of his grandparents, many cousins, aunts and uncles.
We will miss you until we meet again, Paul.
