Norma Alcanzaren Palo of Brooks, beloved wife of Edgardo Bersamina, passed away in Brooks on Friday, September 15 ^th , 2017 at the age of 57 years. Norma was born on October 18 ^th , 1959 in the Philippines and resided there until she moved to Hong Kong for work. She lived there for several years, then immigrated to Canada, landing in Vancouver. Norma eventually settled in Brooks. She attended Philippine Christian University where she earned a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work. Norma married Edgardo Bersamina in 2013 in the Philippines. She was employed at JBS Foods in Brooks. Norma loved to cook for family and friends, and enjoyed entertaining guests at big parties. She will be fondly remembered as a kind soul who put others above herself. Norma always wanted what was best for others. She was the best mother a son could ask for and a magnificent cook. Norma is survived by her husband, Edgardo and son, Jon. A public visitation and service will be held on Sunday, September 24 ^th at 12:00 PM from Smith Memorial Chapel. In memory of Norma, if friends desire, memorial tributes may be made to Brooks and District Diabetes Association, Box 187, Brooks Alberta   T1R 1B3.
