It is with great sadness that the family of Neil Edgar Anderson of Brooks, inform you of the passing of our loving grandfather, father, and husband, in Brooks, on Tuesday, October 10th, 2017 at the age of 80 years. Neil was born on April 10th, 1937 in Eastend, Saskatchewan to Elmer and Ellen Anderson. Neil was many things to many people. He is remembered for his never-ending loyalty, pride and love of his family and friends. He was known for his love of baseball, cattle and his best horse, Boots. Any who knew him will never forget that deep voice, his slow smile and the twinkle in his eye. He was predeceased by his parents, Elmer and Ellen Anderson, siblings; Eileen MacDonald, Mervin Anderson, Verna McMann, Lowell Anderson, Leland Anderson and Ronald Anderson; nephews, Brian Anderson and Daryl Skaret and niece Diane Anderson. Neil is survived by his beloved wife Gail Anderson, daughters, Carmen Nania (Kris) and Nora Poffenroth and her husband Ryan; grandchildren, Andrea Nania, Cara Nania, Erin Poffenroth, Scott Poffenroth and Nicole Nania; sister Dolores Skaret and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 18th at 2:00 PM from Trinity Lutheran Church. Rev. John Theiss officiating.
