Myra Irene Engleson of Brooks passed away in Calgary on Friday, May 20 ^th , 2022 at the age of 77 years. Myra was born on December 8 ^th , 1944 in Thunder Bay, Ontario to William and Anna Bell. She was a very caring woman, always willing to lend a helping hand to ant of her family, friends or neighbors who needed it. Myra and her husband Lamar managed, what is now known as Heinrichs' Estate Mobile Home Park, for many years. As caretakers they mowed the grass, collected rent, did repairs and tree maintenance and Myra was fondly known as the "watchdog" and would take note of who was coming and going from the park and report any unusual happenings. Her home was always open to her family and friends and she quite often had company visiting in the evenings. Myra had a love for anything to do with dairy cows, friends and family can attest to her collection of salt and pepper shakers and other dairy cow related trinkets that adorned her home. She loved the Christmas Season and spent a lot of time and energy decorating her trailer, yard and sunroom with decorations. Myra would get her nails done once a months and the colors always reflected the current season. She will be remembered for the kindness she showed to her friends and neighbors, treating the neighborhood kids as if they were her own grandchildren, her poetry and for being stubborn and opinionated at times. Myra will be truly missed by her many friends and her loving family. She was predeceased by her loving husband Lamar and her parents. Myra is survived by her niece, Anna (Rick) Bell; nephews, Murray (Kim) Webb and Aubrey (Cheryl) Webb and their families; step-son, Rodney (Marlene) and granddaughters Jessica and Kelsie. A Celebration of Life for close friends and family will be held on Friday, June 10 ^th from 5:00 PM until 10:00 PM from Kim Orich's place. In memory of Myra, if friends desire, memorial tributes may be made directly to BAPS, Box 86, Brooks, Alberta   T1R 1B2.
