Melvin Ray Grue of Brooks passed away in Brooks on Thursday, July 29 ^th , 2021 at 60 years of age.  Melvin was born on February 7 ^th , 1961, the second child of Lillian and the late Alden Grue.  He grew up on the family farm in Rolling Hills and attended elementary and junior high there.  He graduated from Brooks Composite High School and furthered his education at SAIT receiving a diploma in Telecommunications.  After completing his education, he returned to help on the family farm and eventually purchased it.  While growing up, he participated in 4-H, Pony Club and baseball games.  As an adult, he played hockey with the Rolling Hills Rattlers, curled, and enjoyed playing cards or board games with family and friends.  He will be forever remembered and loved by all who knew him.  Melvin was predeceased by his father Alden Grue in 2002.  He is survived by his mother Lillian Grue; his siblings Bev (Chris), Bob, Cathy (Tom), Deanna (Mike) and Kelly (Tammy); nephews Jonathon, Jaxon and Josh; and nieces Sami, Saramae, Hayley and Harper.  Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 6 ^th at 2:00 PM from the Rolling Hills Community Centre.  Rev. Debbie Daniels officiating.  Interment to follow at Rolling Hills Cemetery.
