Mary Kathleen
Davidson
Jul 31, 1964 — May 10, 2026
Brooks
It is with profound sadness that the family of Kathleen "Petey" Davidson announces her passing in Brooks, on May 10, 2026 at the age of 61. Petey was born in New Westminster, BC and was adopted to Don and Marianne Peters and grew up in Kelowna, BC. Kathie was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Kathie moved to Brooks in 1991 and married Curtis Davidson and they loved each other to the end. Her love of agriculture landed her a job at the Horticultural Center in Brooks, where she worked for 25 years. Gardening and growing plants was where she found peace, and it was always plentiful with the kids raiding it on a regular basis. Her beet pickles and jams, were her crowning jewels. Petey was excellent at baseball and played with passion. There are boxes full of trophies to back it up. Her friendships made through ball endured till the end. Her close friends describe her as a kind hearted soul and will always miss her huge laugh and welcoming ways. She loved to dance to her and Bear's classic rock and was famous for her signature "high kicks''. Family and friends will miss her baking and were always excited when she came out with a platter of goodies. Dustin and Andy were her proudest achievements and she glowed when describing their latest successes. The grandkids will always remember her big smile and loving ways. Kathie is predeceased by Don and Marianne Peters. Survived by her husband Curtis "Bear" Davidson; brother Allen Peters; sons, Dustin and Andrew; grandkids Jace, Rylen, Kara, King and Amelia. Kathie had just recently found her biological family on her father's side through DNA and was excited to meet them in person. On that side of the family Kathie is survived by her father George Pound, brother Nathan Pound, sister Kimberly Pound, brother Jordan Pound, sister Laura Brancheau and sister Kylie Pound. She will be forever loved by her family and anyone she touched throughout her life. A Celebration of Life will be held on August 1, 2026, 2:00 pm at the Bow City Campground. Come stay the day or camp as we have the campground for the weekend.
