Mary (Della) Adella Tomlinson of Brooks, beloved wife of Ken Tomlinson, passed away in Brooks on January 11 ^th , 2023, at the age of 67, with her family by her side. Della was born in Regina, Sk on February 27 ^th , 1955 to Lucien and Anna Martel. Della did the majority of her education in Brooks and the surrounding area. Della and Ken met in the fall of 1972 and married on November 3 ^rd , 1973. They raised their two kids Keith and Anna. She started work at the Esso, Shell and Legion. Later she moved to Starlight, Fred's Electric and Bert's Small Engine. She also did some volunteer work at the Brooks Regional Hospital. Della liked bowling and later became a coach, she also enjoyed playing slow pitch. Della loved her family, cooking, entertaining, playing dice and card games, crafting, sewing, gardening, and reading. You could find Della spending her summers camping and golfing where she was able to make new friends. Della is preceded by her parents Lucien and Anna Martel, brothers Bob Martel, Roger Martel, brother-in-law Lloyd Flaws, step siblings Ed Fosen, Donny Fosen, Shirley Sovdi. Della is survived by her husband of 49 years Ken Tomlinson; son Keith Tomlinson; daughter Anna (Kevin) Rath; grandkids, Keita, Lasha, Makayla, Jordan and Miley; sisters Donna (Bernie) Elsbett, Lucy Flaws and Pat (Jack) Hale; brother Jim Martel; sister-in-law Audrey Martel; brothers-in-law Bill (Evelyn Harahus) Tomlinson and Gene (Deanna) Tomlinson; step-siblings, Shannon (Bruce) Vanderloh, Shelly (Wes) Lasante, and Lyle Fosen; sister-in-law Verna Fosen and numerous nieces and nephews.
