Mario John
Lambe
Apr 9, 1962 — Nov 9, 2020
Tilley
Mario John Lambe died on November 9, 2020 at the age of 58 in Tilley, AB.
Mario was born to Paul and Mary Lambe on April 9, 1962 in Roundabout, NL and lived there for 6 years before being relocated to Lawn, NL with his family and other Roundabout residents in 1968. Roundabout remained a special place in his memories.
He went to school in Lawn and later made his way to St. John's to attend a school for deaf students in The Miller Centre. He lived in Mt. Pearl for a few years then followed work to Calgary, Brooks, and finally Tilley.
Mario is preceded in death by grandparents Annie and Isaac Lambe and Cecilia and Isadore Edwards; his beloved mother, Mary Florence (Edwards) Lambe and two sisters who passed in infancy, Cecilia Lambe (1 st ) and Mary Lambe; life partner Linda Baker, grandson Adam Baker; and very dear aunts, uncles and cousins.
He leaves to mourn: his father Paul Robert Lambe, siblings Paul Bernard (Sandra Lawrence) Lambe, Cecilia (Gerard) David, Michelle Lambe, Raymond (Andrea Nerpin) Lambe, daughters Diana Boyd and Rachel Baker (Kyle) Jangs; grandsons Matthew and Damian; nieces Francesca Lambe Blaikie, Kiersey Lambe, Rowan Lambe and Haley David; nephew Brendan David; great nieces and nephews Prudence, Silas, Jaxon and Colwyn; special friend Sherry Schell, many aunts, uncles and cousins as well as a large circle of friends across the country, co-workers, and of course, his dog, Amber.
Though he faced some challenges, Mario remained humble, kind, generous, compassionate, and empathetic. He always wore a smile on his face and had a song in his heart. He was a good son, brother, uncle, cousin, nephew, father, grandfather, and man, who loved his family.
Mario will be greatly missed.
In memory of Mario, you may consider making a memorial tribute to the Heart and Stoke Foundation of Alberta, Box 2211, Lethbridge, AB T1J 4K7. Alternately, you can support your local foodbank, Christmas Hamper program, Coats for Kids, Toys for Tots or your nearest SPCA. If none of those are within reach, please do something nice for a neighbor and think of him while you do it. He would be pleased to have prompted even a small kindness movement.
Cremation is entrusted to and conducted by
