Our hearts ache as we announce the unexpected passing of an incredible Mum, Grandma, and Great Grandma on Wednesday, August 9 ^th , 2017 in Calgary at the age of 82 years.  She is definitely leaving a lasting legacy for our family.  Margery was born on December 9, 1934 in Oxbow, Saskatchewan.  She and Cecil were married May 1, 1956 in Brandon, Manitoba.  They relocated and settled in Bassano in 1973.  Margery was a very active member of the Bassano community, volunteering for Alberta Health Services for many years.  Just recently, she was so proud to have been presented with a pin recognizing 20 years of service.  Margery always had something to do or someplace to be.  Her interests were many and varied.  Her passions were curling, quilting and other handicrafts, travelling with her best buddies and particularly looked forward to the Friday afternoon coffee get-togethers.  Other things that she was involved with were, driving seniors, tuck cart at the lodge, calling bingo and attending as well, choir and more too numerous to mention.  Margery was predeceased by her daughter Faye Bartman on January 10, 1994 and her husband Cecil on May 30, 1997.  Margery is survived by her son David and Connie Russell of Sylvan Lake, their children Amanda (Steve) children Ajaleigh and Lucas, Shannon (Mark) children Madison, Gavin and Kaiden, Faye's children Chase, children Chance and Carley and Shalyn (Brad) children Jessie and James.  In respecting Margery's wishes, cremation has taken place and her remains will be interred at a later date in Breadalbane Cemetery in Lenore, MB. In memory of Margery, if friends desire, memorial tributes may be made to either Knox Presbyterian Church, Box 66, Bassano, Alberta   T0J 0B0 or a charity of choice.
