Margaret Katherine Tell of Brooks, beloved wife of the late William Tell Sr., passed away in Brooks on Friday, May 19, 2023 at the age of 99 years. Margaret was born on October 13, 1923, in Papasalamon Hungary. She immigrated with her family to Canada in 1929. Margaret married William Tell Sr. on November 5, 1942. They lived in Tilley, Rainier, and outside of Brooks. In 1981, they sold the acreage and moved to Brooks. Margaret had two children, William Jr, born July 14, 1943, and Marilyn born February 9, 1946. She was the most amazing cook and she loved to host family. Margaret loved to garden, especially roses and her vegetable garden was always very productive. She was predeceased by husband Bill; son Bill; great grandson Drew Moen; great granddaughter Ashton Moen; sister Matilda Suhai, and brothers, Lewis and William Stenger. She will be greatly missed by her daughter Marilyn and husband Richard Wutzke; daughter-in-law Linda Tell; grandchildren, Adena (Brian) Skanderup, Rodney (Lisa) Tell, Shirley (Ronan) Moen, Barry (Connie) Tell, Paul (Jovelyn) Wutzke, and Serena Wutzke;  great grandchildren, Teah (Brent) Yeomans, Garrett (Levi) Cawthra, Sydnee Moen, Reice Moen, Lane Koenig, Gerard Moen, Brock Tell, Kirsten Skanderup, Nicholas Skanderup, Brayden Tell, Rapheal Almontero, Cassidy Tell, Gabriel Almontero, Mark Wutzke, Faith Wutzke, and baby Wutzke and her four great great grandchildren Grayson, Asher, Izabelle, and Jace. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 27 at 2:00 PM from Smith Memorial Chapel. Rev. Jakob Pillibeit officiating. Interment to follow at Brooks Cemetery.
