It is with profound sadness to announce the peaceful passing of Louise Erna Johnston in Brooks on Saturday, July 16 ^th , 2022 at the age of 78 years. Louise was born in Victoria, BC on March 29 ^th , 1944 to Erna and John Andrist. She spent her early years in Victoria and graduated from Belmont High School. In 1964, she married Peter Murray and welcomed their 1 ^st son Scott Murray later that year. 5 years later they welcomed a fiery red haired 2 ^nd son, Shane Murray in 1969. They later went their separate ways and she went on to marry Lawrence Johnston in 1974. In 1979, they welcomed a sassy baby girl, Brandi Johnston. Louise resided in Cobble Hill, BC for the next 29 years, before relocating to Brooks, to be closer to her daughter. For most of the next 14 years she spent beside her daughter, going to concerts, reading, watching trashy TV, sipping coffee and laughing into the wee hours of the morning. She leaves behind to mourn, her long-time best friend Shirley Roach of Duncan BC; sons, Scott Murray of Victoria, BC and Shane Murray of Winnipeg, MB; and her broken-hearted favorite daughter, Brandi Johnston of Brooks; grandchildren, Tanner Murray, Kamryn Murray and Chyanne Murray and 1 great granddaughter.
