Krista Lee Elder of Brooks, beloved wife of Mike Elder, passed away in Brooks on Thursday, November 27, 2025, at the age of 52 years.

Krista was born in The Pas, Manitoba on April 30, 1973, to John and Meredith Berg. She attended Keewatin Community College before later moving to Brooks, where she met the love of her life, Mike. The two were married on August 8, 2018, at the Kinsmen Hall in Brooks.

Krista dedicated 15 years of her life to caring for others as a Healthcare Aide at Sunrise Gardens. Outside of work, she loved spending time with her family and friends, listening to 80s rock, enjoying coffee, tattoos, camping, fishing, and taking spontaneous road trips with those closest to her. Above all, Krista adored being a grandmother and treasured every moment spent with her grandchildren.

She will be fondly remembered for her huge heart, protective nature, witty remarks, ability to make anyone laugh, and for simply being hilariously herself. Her presence brought warmth, humour, and love wherever she went.

Krista was predeceased by her father, John (Jack) Berg.

She is survived by her loving husband, Mike Elder; her children, Jordan Stewart, Jessi Wagner (Calin), and Andrew Stewart (Siarah); her treasured grandchildren, Brawley, Jersey, Maverick, and Grayson; her mother, Meredith Cameron; her siblings, Robert Berg and Tami Berg (Wally); her niece, Avery Berg; and many dear friends who will miss her deeply.

A private family service will be held at a later date.
