Karen Evelyn Bell loving wife of the late Barry Bell, passed away after a brief illness at the Foothills Medical Centre, Calgary on Thursday, April 16th, 2026 at the age of 84 years. Karen was born in Quesnel, BC on June 22nd, 1942 to Ralph and Thelma Telford.  She is survived by her children Scot (Loralee) and Tracey (Mark); grandchildren, Kayla (Aidan) Casey, Mason (Katie), Tyler (Britt) and Jamie (Daniel); great grandchildren, Mhyr and Nautica; her sister Sandy Bogstie; brothers, Kim (Cheryl) Telford and Bob (Gale) Telford; sister-in-law Chris Telford and brother-in-law Dan (Luisa) Bell. She was predeceased by her husband of 60 years Barry; her parents, Ralph and Thelma; brother Wayne; brothers/sister in-law Bert and June and Ken and Diane Bell; nephews Bruce and Bob Bell. Karen was married to Barry Bell in Cluny, Ab. On July 17th,1959. Karen graduated from Hairdresser school and continued do hair for most of her working career and did books at LK ranches/XL feedlot You could always find Karen cheering on her kids or grandkids or every one's grandkids, her and dad spent a lot of time in the hockey rink. Karen moved into town in 2023, to the Playfair Lodge, she wasn't sure if she would want to stay, but it didn't take long for her to settle in, and she was so happy to be there. She was so well cared for and enjoyed all the activities, crafts, entertainment and of course the people, staff and residents, was always ready for a visit and coffee.
