It is with profound sadness that the family of Jane (Ingram) Stearns-McKay announce her sudden passing at the age of 66 in Taber, Ab. Jane will be dearly missed by her companion James Garbutt; children, Daniel (Abbigail) McKay, Emily (Colin, Bethany) McKay and their father Hugh McKay; grandchild Elowen McKay; brother Tunde Adeniran. Along with many treasured friends, extended family, and all those she lovingly embraced as her own children and grandchildren. She was mournfully predeceased by her daughter Amy Stearns and her son Joey Stearns, survived by their father Mike Stearns; sister Nancy Ingram and parents Oliver and Irene Ingram. Jane was a mother to many and a friend to all, she had love to spare and a hug for everyone. She will be remembered for her wise advice, wonderful stories, comforting presence, and her constant willingness to lend a helping hand. Her kindness touched everyone she met. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you donate to your local foodbank in Jane's memory. A memorial service with a luncheon to follow will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church in Brooks, Alberta, on Saturday June 6th at 2:00 PM. Officiated by Pastor Maggie Theiss. Interment at Brooks Cemetery.
