Joe Lukawesky of Brooks, beloved husband of the late Vera Lukawesky, passed away in Brooks on Wednesday, September 18 ^th , 2019 at the age of 90 years. Joe was born in Opal, Alberta on January 25 ^th , 1929. As a young man, Joe worked for Burns Packing, Imperial Oil and Edmonton Transit, before beginning a long career with Edmonton Telephones, which later became Telus. Baseball was always Joe's passion, beginning as a pitcher and later an umpire, as well as District Manager and President of his Little League District. Curling was also another great interest of Joe's. A Family Graveside service will be held at Evergreen Cemetery, Edmonton.

Cremation is entrusted to Smith Funeral Home Ltd. and Crematorium, Brooks .
