Joan Compton of Medicine Hat, beloved wife of the late Earl Compton, passed away in Medicine Hat on Friday, October 6 ^th , 2017 at the age of 85 years. Joan was born on November 3 ^rd , 1931 in Drumheller. She is survived by her 5 children, Edie Renkema, Linda Bjelland, Dan Compton, Wendy Nilsson and John Compton. A private Family Service was held on Thursday, October 12 ^th at 2:00 PM from Smith Memorial Chapel. Interment followed at Brooks Cemetery.
