It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our mother, Jean Audrey Rogers of Duchess, Alberta on March 13 ^th , 2020 at the Brooks Health Centre, at the age of 78 years. Jean was born May 4 ^th , 1941, in Loverna, Saskatchewan and resided in the Duchess area for over 25 years. Her love for her horses and cattle was undeniable.  All of them were cared for like royalty and were such a huge part of her life. Jean especially enjoyed visiting the herd of the new calves and, of course, her colts. She loved to be outside, surrounded by her amazing flower gardens, bird houses and her solar lights.  Jean never went anywhere without her camera, allowing her to take those beautiful pictures she always took while on her tours. She was predeceased by her biological father Samuel McKnight, step-father Jack Scheffington McClughan, mother Agnes Mary McClughan, sister Irene Duffield, brother-in-law Denny Duffield and her son Warren Rogers. Jean is survived by her companion Deloy Jensen; two children, Kent (Della) and Crystal (Ward); brothers, Mel (Eileen), Brian (Linda), Darwin; 9 grandchildren; 1 great granddaughter and many nieces and nephews. She will be truly missed by everyone who knew and loved her. Due to the Covid 19 issue, a Celebration of Life event will be held at a date to be determined.
