It is with great sadness that the family of Herbert Winter announce his passing on January 1, 2022 at the age of 67 years. Over the last 2 years life was a challenge for him due to medical issues but he was a trooper and never gave up. Despite the pain he endured, that handsome smile and sense of humour were always present until the end. He was always a hardworking and dedicated man who never missed a day and was always there on time. He worked many professions during his life but being chased by a polar bear while with the Canadian Coast Guard trumped them all. Herb met the love of his life, Eva, while attending a school dance one evening. It was love at first sight, followed by three bundles of joy and 49 years of marriage. When you saw that greasy grin you knew Herb was up to something no good. He was an avid Toronto Maple Leafs fan at heart and had no time for the Montreal Canadiens lol! A simple man at heart, he drove the same car for 21 years. Herb is predeceased by his beloved parents, Jessie and Marjorie Winter and survived by his loving wife Eva in Brooks, his children Edwina (Rodney) in Spruce Grove, Cheryl (Cecil) in Brooks, and Christopher in Brooks, and his grandchildren Mitchell, Alisha, Brookelyn, Nicholas, and Hannah. Herb is loved and dearly missed by his siblings Gordon (Linda-deceased), Josephine (Paul-deceased), Jenny, Marie (Tom), Ramsey. Guy (Philomena), Junior-deceased, Olive (Jimmy), Dean (Dave), Rodney (Kelly), and Angel-deceased. He will be remembered by numerous nieces and nephews, extended family, and friends. Rest in Peace dear husband, dad, brother, uncle, grandfather, and friend.

A Private Family Service will be held at Smith Memorial Chapel.
