Helen Francis Taggart of Tilley, passed away in Brooks on Saturday February 27 ^th , 2021 at the age of 101 years. Helen was born on February 10 ^th , 1920 at Entwistle, Alberta and was raised in Reno, Alberta. She married George Taggart on July 25 ^th , 1942 in Hinton, Alberta. Together they lived in numerous lumber camps in Alberta and B.C. and settled in Creston B.C. She retired in Wyndel, B.C. and later moved Brooks in 2009. Helen enjoyed oil painting, sewing and knitting. She was a member of the Royal Purple, Creston Museum, Rock Club, Pioneer Villa Founder and also enjoyed volunteering visiting. Helen was predeceased by two infant sons; parents Henry and Annie Hermanrude; husband George Taggart; 2 brothers; 1 sister; 3 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. She is survived by her loving family, sister Isabel; 4 children, AnnieMae, Jean (John), Henry (Deb) and Lawrence (Sherrie); 12 grandchildren; 34 great grandchildren; 18 great great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, the family will be sharing a Private Family Service.
