Harry Ken Lee of Bassano, beloved husband of Annette Lee, peacefully passed away in Bassano surrounded by loved ones on Tuesday, February 9 ^th , 2021 at the age of 79 years after a difficult battle with cancer. Harry was born on October 16 ^th , 1941, in the bustling province of Guangdong, China. After Harry came to Canada, he worked with his uncle Howie at the Beehive Restaurant, then after a few years he went off on his own. Harry worked at Loblaw's and many restaurants over the years. He worked in the food industry for over 60 years. Harry was passionate about cooking and loved what he did for a living. He was a well-known person in Bassano. Harry built Harry's Place Restaurant and was a friendly face everyone recognized for over 25 years. In 1980, Harry met his future wife, Annette at a friend's place. Harry and Annette were married 40 years and have 2 sons, Joshua and Jadin, and 3 grandchildren, Margot, Abby, and Oscar. Harry retired in 2017 after 25 years in Bassano. While retired, Harry had time to travel to his birthplace after 60 years of being gone.
