On July 11 ^th , 2018 Gordon Charles Barlow, formerly of Bassano, passed away unexpectedly from a heart attack in his home in Edmonton, at the age of 60 years.  Gord will be missed by his children, Bruce (Jacky), Kendra, Amber, and their mom, Heather, along with his siblings, Raymond (Maxine), Douglas (Joan), Janet (Brian), 3 nephews, 2 nieces, 1 great-niece, and 3 great-nephews. Gord was pre-deceased by his parents Elton and Jean.  He was born in Bassano and attended Bassano School. Afterward, he attended SAIT and received his certificate for bricklaying.  Gord loved to play hockey, curl, and spend time outside which included keeping a garden.  Gord loved to entertain, whether as a practical jokester or barbequing and cooking for his friends.  He spent most of hunting season spotting deer with his son Bruce and knew where every pheasant was within 10 miles of town.  He always had a springer spaniel by his side.  Gord loved to spend time with his children when they were young and taught them to cook, swim, skate, and play baseball.  Gord took pride in his Christmas lights display and spent most of the year making new wooden decorations for the next Christmas. Gord was passionate about the Bassano Fire Department, Ducks Unlimited, and helping anyone that needed it.  Funeral services were held on Saturday July 21 ^st at 2:00 PM from the Bassano Cemetery.  Rev.
