Gloria Gladys Stoller, a longtime resident of Bassano, Alberta, passed on Friday, July 3, 2020 at the age of 85. Gloria was born on July 16, 1934 on a farm in Cantuar, Saskatchewan. After moving to Bassano in the early 70s with her family, she settled into the wonderful community and never left. Gloria was a member of Royal Purple and Eastern Star, a homemaker, and a loving mother who was always involved in the lives and activities of her children and grandchildren. She will be remembered for her love of hockey, going for coffee with her friends, playing crib with her grandchildren, and making, by her definition, "shitty" buns for each holiday get together. Gloria is predeceased by her husband, Gale Stoller; parents, Lloyd and Ruth Gould; sister, Shirley Galbraith; brother, Dale Gould; and son, Cliff Stoller. She is survived by her brother, Larry (Faye) Gould; daughter, Patricia (Rob) Sutherland; son, Edward (Karen) Stoller; daughter-in-law, Mary Ellen Stoller and many nephews and nieces. Gloria or "Gram" is also survived by her grandchildren and great grandchildren: Rebecca Sutherland, Dalton Tainton and Daniel Tainton; Jeffrey (Lisa), Blakely and Austin Sutherland; Jason (Ashley), Sophie, and Oliver Stoller; Kevin Stoller; Troy Stoller; Dustin Stoller (Hannah Burton); and Nicole and Berkley Stoller. In order for family and friends to properly honour Gloria safely, a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. As a family, we request that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Bassano & District Health Foundation, Box 120, Bassano, Alberta T0J 0B0.
