Gerald Neil
Marzolf
Oct 4, 1947 — Oct 22, 2024
Brooks
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Gerald (Jerry) Neil Marzolf, in Medicine Hat, Alberta, on Tuesday, October 22nd, 2024, at the age of 77 years. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend, who touched the lives of many. Jerry was born on October 4th, 1947 in Central Butte, Saskatchewan to Neil and Ellen Marzolf. Jerry lived life on his terms. He was admired for his extensive knowledge of mechanics and repairs and could keep things working well past their best-before date, including himself, after multiple complications due to a stroke he suffered at the age of 56. Jerry's perseverance was rewarded, when he became a grandfather to Taylor, Easton and Maci. He was so grateful and proud to be part of their lives. One of Jerry's simple pleasures in life was working on and driving anything with an engine, from tractors to motorcycles. He was all too willing to buy, build, or fix anything with wheels or speed so that his son, family and friends could ride! Jerry was also able to prove that change and finding new interests was possible at any age, taking up painting and building his trust in God, during the later years of his life. Jerry was predeceased by his parents, Neil and Ellen Marzolf; sisters, Susan and Jeannette and brothers-in-law, Ken, Butch and Doug. He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Pamela; children, Jeff, Jennifer and Angela; son-in-law, Jeff; three wonderful grandchildren, Taylor, Easton and Maci; siblings, Merle, Carol, Anne, Carmen (Rod), Daniel (Teresa), Harvey (Tracey) and Micheal (Lori); brother-in-law, Hugh and we can't forget little Pip, whom he loved dearly. Jerry will be dearly missed but never forgotten, living on in our hearts and the lives of those he inspired. A service will be held at a later date. In memory of Jerry, if friends desire, memorial tributes may be made directly to St. Joseph's Home for the Aged, 156 – 3rd Street NE, Medicine Hat, Alberta T1A 5M1.
