Gary Lee Meador, age 80, passed away on Tuesday, April 14, 2026 in Medicine Hat. Gary was born on April 7, 1946 in Brooks and was the only child of Donalene Welda Meador (nee Robinson) and Ralph Enoch Meador.

He grew up in the One Tree area and settled in Brooks and surrounding area for the remainder of his life where he farmed, raised his family and was known and loved by many friends.

Gary was preceded in death by his wife, Deborah Ann Meador (nee Caldwell).

He is lovingly remembered by his children, Shelly Jupp (Mike) of Brooks, Patrick Meador (Betty) of Cassils, Amanda Zilm (Norm) of Calgary and Trevor Meador (Amy) of Calgary; and his cherished grandchildren, Peyten, Mckenna, Harper and Alexander; very special friend Barb Crashaw along with numerous cousins and other family members.

Services will be held at The Heritage on Thursday, April 30, 11am – 3pm.

He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered, particularly for his wit with sayings such as "If you can't understand lever A and you can't understand lever C, then leave 'er B"
