Frieda Annette Weisenburger (nee Noch) of Bassano, beloved wife of the late Herb Weisenburger, passed away peacefully in Bassano on Wednesday, February 26 th , 2020 at the age of 100 years young. Frieda was born on November 21 st , 1919 in Trochu, Alberta and moved to Bassano in 1957. She cooked at the hotel restaurant, Bud's and the Bassano Hospital. Frieda volunteered at the arena hockey games and the stampede booths. She was a lifetime member of the Royal Purple and Legion. Frieda's passion was her yard and flowers, her piano, bingo and card games. She was very sociable, which benefited her when she moved to the lodge at 87 years. Frieda was predeceased by husbands, Albert Enzie and Herb Weisenburger; her parents Magdelina and Philip Koch; brothers, Jack and Fred; sisters, Irene, Katie, Barbara, Ida, Ester and Violet. Frieda is survived by many Koch, Enzie, Weisenburger nieces and nephews. Frieda is survived by her loving son, Mervin (Marg); grandchildren, Kerry, Lonny (Debbie) and Lisa; five great grandchildren, Chelsey (Ian), Evan, Ashley, Tyson and Natasha; two great great grandchildren, Murphy and Avery; she is also survived by her 105 year old sister Rosie. She took care of her own funeral plans when she lived at home, just a family graveside service and no social. We will respect her wishes. We thank the staff at the Bassano Playfair Lodge and the nursing staff and Dr. Richards at the Bassano Hospital for being so good to her.
