Edward Peter Dusome of Brooks, beloved husband of Linda Dusome, passed away peacefully in the Brooks Health Centre, surrounded by family and friends, on Friday, June 30 ^th , 2017, at the age of 70 years. Edward was born on January 8 ^th , 1947 in Parry Sound, Ontario to Joseph and Edith (Belanger) Dusome. He worked as a miner for many years, a career that gave him the opportunity to work in many different places, including Saudi Arabia. Edward will be fondly remembered as a teacher and storyteller. All of his friends and family will cherish his memory, especially his sense of humour, which brought laughter to many who experienced it. Edward was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Edith Dusome and brother, Harry Dusome. He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Linda; children; Debbie, Darin, Lee, Samantha, Mareka, Justus and Dustin; 16 grandchildren, 1 great granddaughter; sisters, Ruth, Dianne and Ann Mary; lifelong friend Jimmy Landry and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. The family wish to express their sincere appreciation to all of the staff involved in the daily operation of the Brooks Health Centre – Long Term Care. Thank you for the care, compassion, and laughter you all shared with Ed. A private family gathering will be held at a later date.
