It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of our mom, Darlene May Hiebert, on April 2nd, 2025, in Brooks, Alberta. Darlene was born on April 12th, 1947, in Herbert, Saskatchewan. Throughout her life, she was a devoted mother, a hardworking farm wife, and a compassionate nurse, dedicating many years working as an LPN at the Bassano Hospital. After her retirement, Darlene, alongside her husband, helped operate the ferry at Finnegan, Alberta. Darlene spent the majority of her life in Gem, Alberta, where she was an active and valued member of the community. Later in life, she moved to Newbrook Lodge in Brooks. She was known for her generous spirit, always putting her family and community first. Darlene loved crocheting, watching curling, and supporting her grandchildren in their sports activities. She had a passion for cooking, catering, and making sausage, and she took pride in organizing spaghetti and pierogi suppers for fundraising events. Her family was the center of her world, and she cherished every moment spent with them. Darlene's unwavering love and dedication left a lasting impact on everyone she knew.
