It is with great sorrow that we announce the sudden and unexpected passing of Corey Ruben McGinn Dool on Tuesday, November 13 ^th , 2018 in Bassano at age 47 years. Corey was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and brother, and will be missed by his many family members and friends. Corey was a very active figure in his community, volunteering his time over the years to coaching his children's sports, including ringette, soccer and hockey, and having spent a number of years in the EMS in Bassano. He was well known for his charm and sense of humor and was always ready with a joke or story. Corey was passionate about sports – particularly hockey and his favourite team, the Edmonton Oilers. He loved to play golf, softball and was an avid outdoors man who enjoyed hunting and fishing. Corey enjoyed traveling, and had a passion for life that will be missed. He will be remembered as a great friend, someone who was always willing to help and forever ready with a great smile. Corey will be greeted in Heaven by his mother Donna, father Ken, and his father-in-law Einer. He is survived by his loving wife, Anna and will be greatly mourned by his two children, Ashley and Jody; grandchildren Tanner and Harper and will be lovingly missed by his mother-in-law Mariette; siblings, Bill, Buck (Danita), Angela (Dan) and Trista (Jeff); brother-in-law Bart (Elaine) and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. A Graveside service will be held Wednesday, November 21 ^st , at 2:00 PM from the Bassano Cemetery. Rev. Peter Baek officiating.
