Cheryl Anne
Oliver
Sep 26, 1957 — Apr 7, 2025
Redcliff
Cheryl Anne Oliver, of Redcliff, Alberta passed away in Medicine Hat on Monday, April 7th, 2025 at the age of 67 years. Cheryl was a beloved daughter to Bob and Pat Oliver born in Brooks on September 26th, 1957. Her journey through life was marked by kindness, resilience, and an unwavering love for her family, especially her cherished daughter Kirsten Friesen (Randy). Mom loved being a Nana to Mikayla Friesen (Nick) and Jaeger Friesen (Jaci), supportive and encouraging in everything they did. But nothing was more special than becoming a great grandma to Jack.
Mom spent her working years at different places as an administrative assistant. Active in the community mom was a volunteer for the Alberta Summer Games, Race Director for Brooks Triathlon as well as an Advocate for Brooks Victims Assistance.
Mom had a deep love for family history and spent countless days of travel and research, she was able to do some travelling to a few different places, but her favourite place was England, she was fortunate to be able to go and spend time with family that she loved dearly.
In 2007, mom was given a kidney transplant, a gift we are eternally grateful for. As challenges with her health progressed and she wasn't able to travel, mom kept busy doing other things she loved, puzzles, sewing Christmas cushions, and being with family and friends. Mom loved getting to spend time with her siblings, nieces and nephews and meeting all the new additions to the family.
Mom was predeceased by her parents, Pat and Bob Oliver, great nephew Nash Jensen, brother-in-law Svend Jensen, brothers, Collin and Donald Oliver and niece Tamara Henderson. She is survived by siblings, Joan Jensen, Les Oliver, Harry Oliver, Ethel Jordan (Brad), Valerie Schamehorn (Wayne), Maureen Conrad (Reid) and Jacqueline Miquelon (Kelly); sister-in-law Margaret Oliver, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Thank you to the staff at Medicine Hat Kidney Care Clinic as well as St. Joseph's Hospice for the care and support that was given to mom.
