It is with extreme sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Chad John Paul Flynn of Brooks, Alberta, beloved son of Audrey and Les Flynn and loving father to Briar, on Sunday, April 6th, 2025, at the age of 43 years. Chad was born in Uranium City, Saskatchewan on May 18th, 1981, but was a true Newfoundlander at heart. He lived in St. John's, Newfoundland for many years and always considered it home, eventually relocating to Brooks, where he resided until his passing. Chad worked in Alberta's Oil and Gas Industry, and he loved it.  He always spoke about the many different jobs he did and especially the people he enjoyed working with at Tier 1 Energy Solutions. He was predeceased by his father, Les. With heartbreak and sadness, Chad leaves to mourn his son, Briar and Briar's mother, Lacey; Chad's mother, Audrey (nee Lamothe); special friends, Adam, Evan, Jeff, Johnny, Eric and the two Jasons, with whom Chad made many special memories and spent so much time with; along with many aunts, uncles and cousins from the Flynn, McGrath, Lamothe and Lambe families and many wonderful friends and their families with whom Chad and Briar spent so much time with. Briar, your dad always cherished the time he spent with you. He was so grateful for the love and joy you brought to his life. A Celebration of Chad's Life will be held on Thursday, April 17th, 2025, at 3:00 PM onwards at The Iron Hat Brewery, #112, 328 – 7th Street East Brooks, Alberta. In memory of Chad, if friends desire, memorial tributes may be made directly to Brooks Mental Health Association, Bag 300, Brooks, Alberta T1R 1B3.
