Anita Bernice Bunt of Brooks, beloved wife of Darrel Prouty, passed away in Brooks on Friday, August 25 ^th , 2017 at the age of 60 years. Anita was born on November 21 ^st, 1956 in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan to Martin and Laura Gariepy. She was employed at the SAAN Store, 7/11 Store, Galbraith Drycleaners, Safeway and Gus' Pizza and Restaurant. Anita's life revolved around her family, who brought so much joy to her life. Anita's hobbies included sewing, quilting, working in her yard and spending time with her grandchildren. She enjoyed picnics at the lake with her family and going to Prince Albert to visit home. Anita was predeceased by her parents Martin and Laura Gariepy. She is survived by her husband of 28 years, Darrel Prouty; children, Will Prouty of Brooks, Laura Bunt of Brooks, Tammy Bunt of Brooks, Randal Prouty of Lethbridge and David Prouty of Calgary; grandchildren, Shayln Widdop, Shawn Kleinsasser, Taniel Prouty, Emma Prouty, Teige Prouty, Branden Kleinsasser, Isabella Prouty, Tyler Prouty, Taylee Prouty and Tavion Prouty; siblings, John Gariepy and his wife Margaret of Prince Albert, Marty Gariepy and his wife Cindy of Prince Albert, Simone Pilon and her husband Bert of Duck Lake, Saskatchewan, Edna Blight and her husband Ken of Calgary and Judy Dickens and her husband Kieth of Prince Albert and many nieces, nephews and friends. A private family gathering will be held at a later date. In memory of Anita, if friends desire, memorial tributes may be made to Canadian Cancer Society, 200, Manning Road NE, Calgary, Alberta   T2E 9Z9.

Cremation is entrusted to Smith Funeral Home Ltd. and Crematorium, Brooks.
