Amy Marion Hutch (nee Reilkoff)

August 7 ^th , 1940 – December 16 ^th 2020

Amy, beloved wife of late Raymond Philip Hutch and mother of daughters Cheryl Short (Howard, daughter Olivia), Jacqueline Hutch (son Kevin), Liana Nielsen (Harold, daughter Amanda) passed peacefully in Brooks Wednesday, December 16 ^th , 2020 at the age of 80. Born in Canora, Sask., Amy and her siblings grew up together in the quaint community before meeting and marrying husband Ray (June 4 ^th 1960) in Regina, followed by a move to Brooks, Alberta. Here they grew their family, and built businesses, one if which still exists in the community today. Taking on multiple business ventures- most notably the first Merle Norman Cosmetics to make an appearance in Brooks.  Over the years Amy was involved in many sectors and carried on a busy lifestyle while raising her three daughters. In time, she progressed to a more home based lifestyle, and proceeded to focus her efforts into raising her family. As the nest emptied, she stayed surrounded by family and friends.  Amy was an avid gardener, who held a strong passion for plants and nature. In her spare time, she tended to her variety of flowers. Amy will be remembered for her deep love and strong pride for her family- who visited and conversed together over telephone daily and who especially loved the holiday gatherings at her home. She is survived by her loving family, three daughters and three grandchildren, and will be missed by many more in the community.

Amy's family wishes to thank Dr. Folton, the staff at Sunrise Garden's, as well as the team at the Brooks Health Centre for their kind hearts and compassionate care that was provided.

A Private Family service will be held at Smith Memorial Chapel. Rev. John Theiss officiating. Interment to follow at Brooks Cemetery.
